Programs and Ministries
Parish School of Religion
PSR (Parish School of Religion) provides religious education and sacramental preparation for students in preschool - Grade 8 who attend non-Catholic schools. The parish staff and catechists work with the families of these children to provide the opportunity for the children to grow spiritually, to understand their faith and to develop their personal relationship with Christ. They meet on Monday evenings (September – May) at 6:30-7:30pm. The catechists are parishioners who volunteer to teach. Experience is great, but training and support are offered. Contact Max Hall for questions or to volunteer for this formational ministry!
Our youth ministry program is based on the Life Teen model with the mission to lead teens into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, help them to learn about this beautiful Catholic faith and inspire them to take ownership of their faith.
During the school year, our youth ministry consists of weekly Sunday night gatherings called Life Nights. These nights will begin with Mass at 5:30pm (open to the whole parish) and will continue in McBride Hall with dinner, fun games, faith, discussion and prayer. These nights will cover topics ranging from Church teaching to issues which pertain speicially to high school teens and how to pracitically apply faith to these issues.
Other opportunities in addition to Life Nights will include service projects, social nights, Bible Studies and discussion nights.
During the summer, St, Luke's Youth Ministry have weekly "Whatever Wednesday" events from 7-9pm and Friday afternoon Bible Study from 2-3pm!
Please contact the parish office if you have any questions or if you would like to volunteer as an adult with the youth ministry program.
